Quarter Athletic was founded by Kaan Kurt. The company's name carries personal meaning — it traces back to his parents' sacrifices as immigrants who came to America with nothing, determined to give their children a better life.

Before Kaan was born, his parents were passing out pizza flyers to survive, his mother six months pregnant at the time. After he was born, they took jobs as pizza delivery drivers. One night, after finishing a delivery shift through the snow and ice in Pittsburgh, they came home with twenty-five cents to their name.

That was the quarter. That was the foundation everything else was built on.

They kept going. They worked hard, made sacrifices, and created every opportunity they could for Kaan and his sister. Quarter Athletic is what came from that.
